Lighting is one of the most important elements of home design. The right lighting can change the mood of a room, the perceived size of a room and enhance the décor of a room. When right lighting is achieved it transforms the whole house into a smooth and seamless combination of functionality and style.

Get it right and confident atmosphere will instantly ‘pop’ the rest of your interior.’ Lighting can transform a house into a home and without good lighting all the other thought out details such as furnishings, floorings, walls and décors will fail to create the impact and ambience that you set out to achieve. Sinead Kelly, Interior Designer points out that, ‘Light is integral to life. It can stir emotion, set a mood, create atmosphere, offer direction and guidance. Good lighting is a subconscious emotion and needs to be in context with its surrounding only then can it truly be an integral part of a whole.
The right type of lighting is important for every room. According to The Lighting Industry Association, ‘Over 80% of the signals the brain processes come through our eyes. And these signals are carried by light. So it is very important that we have adequate light of the right quality for every purpose.’
